Northwest Pinball and Arcade Show (NWPAS) provides competitive pinball players in the Pacific Northwest a high quality pinball tournament experience, that begins with the satellite series, and ends with several major events at the show, including the prestigious NW Women's Pinball Championship, the Open Tournament, a Match play Classic event, a Rookie and Amateur tournament and a Sunday Revenge group knockout event.

Schedule

 

NEW THIS YEAR:
March 17th Noon Pacific Opening of online registration
Buy tickets for NWPAS Tournaments
-Open Tournament, 100 spots (50% of total), $65 + ticketing site fees for registration and 12 entries, 12 more can be bought as a rebuy one time onsite during the tournament.

-Northwest Women's Pinball Championship, 48 spots (50% of total split in 4 sessions) available then the rest will go on a wait list until 6/3 when remaining spots are release, $25 + ticketing site fees to register for one qualifying round. Limited rebuy may be available onsite during the tournament.

-Classics Match Play Tournament, 84 spots (50% of total split in 3 sessions) available then the rest will go on a wait list until 6/3 when remaining spots are release, $40 + ticketing site fees to register for one qualifying round. Limited rebuy may be available onsite during the tournament.

-Rookie & Amateur Group Knockout Pinball Tournament (IPR3 or below), 30 spots (50% of total)
available then the rest will go on a wait list until 6/3 when remaining spots are release, $10 + ticketing site fees to register for the tournament.

No online registration for Revenge Group Knockout Pinball Tournament.

Remaining spots will be awarded in order of wait list on June 3rd (and onsite if any leftover) following allocation from the Satellite series and volunteers priority spots.

Northwest Women's Championship  Qualifying Rounds: A: Fri 1:00pm-4:00pm, B: Fri 4:30pm-7:30pm, C: Fri 8:00pm-11:00pm  and D: Sat 11:30am-2:30pm
Northwest Women's Championship, Playoffs: Sat 3:00pm-7:00pm

Open Tournament: Registration open Fri NOON
Open Tournament, Playoffs: Sat 7:00pm-11:00pm for TOP32 and TOP16 rounds then Sun 10:00am-2:30pm for TOP8 and TOP4 rounds

Match play Classic Qualifying Rounds: A: Fri 1:00pm-4:00pm, B: Fri 4:30pm-7:30pm and C: Fri 8:00pm-11:00pm
Classic Tournament, Playoffs: Sat 10:00am-3:00pm

Rookie & Amateur Tournament: Sat 7:00am-11:00pm

Revenge Group Knockout Tournament: Sun 10:00am-2:30pm

Kid's Tournament (12 and Under): Sat 6:00pm-8:00pm

Northwest Women's Pinball Championship

NWPAS is please to once again host the Northwest Women's Pinball Championship, with players attending from Washington, Oregon, British Columbia, Alberta, Colorado, California, and New York!

This year, top prize is $750!1 for first place. Trophy or plaque for top 4 finishers.

NEW FORMAT THIS YEAR Based on players feedback, we are bringing back direct play qualifiers with 4 Matchplay sessions, on Friday and Saturday.
There are 4 qualifiers sessions with 24 players each, for a total of 96 players, top 4 finishers in each sessions qualify to the finals.

Finals will be a TOP 16 PAPA finals, 4 players per group, 3 games per round with 4/2/1/0 scoring and top 2 moving to next round.

$25 registration per player, priority to player that have not played a round, if spots are left players on a retry wait list can retry.

Open Pinball Tournament

This is the main tournament of the weekend, with an average of 200 players every year.

$10001 for A division winner! Trophy or plaque for top 4 finishers.

$2501 for B-Division winner. Check the Monday Night Pinball / NWPAS Player Search Page if you're currently eligible for B division. Players with an IPR of 6 are only eligible for A division on the day the tournament start.

We are offering IFPA World Pinball Player Ranking (WPPR) points at 144% TGP grading with potential X 50% certified+ boost for a total of 216% estimated.

Qualifiers will be Limited Best Game format, on a bank of 13 machines with up to top 2 scores on a machine counting toward your top 12 scores counting toward your ranking. Each player can buy a maximum of 24 entries to qualify with and there is a cap of 200 maximum for the event.

Finals will be a TOP 32 PAPA finals (no byes), 4 players per group, 3 games per round with 4/2/1/0 scoring and top 2 moving to next round.

$65 for registration and your initial 12 entries with an option to buy another 12 entries for an additional $35.

Match play Classics Tournament

This is another IFPA-ranked tournament that will be run on a variety of pre-Dot-Matrix Pinball machines.

$5001 for A division winner! Trophy or plaque for top 4 finishers.

Return of the Classic Match play classic tournament. $40 entry, Up to one retry may be allowed on a very limited basis, qualifying at specific times ONLY on Friday, playoffs on Saturday.

Qualifier will be 3 session of Match play with 5 games per rounds on Friday. top 10 or 11 players out maximum of 56 will move to the finals.

Finals will be a TOP 32 PAPA finals (no byes), 4 players per group, 3 games per round with 4/2/1/0 scoring and top 2 moving to next round.

Rookie & Amateur Tournament

Casual Group Knockout tournament on Saturday evening for players who are relatively new to competitive pinball or have limited experience in tournaments. Tournament is restricted to players with an Individual Player Rating (IPR) of 3 or less on the day of the tournament. Check the Monday Night Pinball / NWPAS Player Search Page to determine your IPR.

$1501 prize for winner. Plaques for top 4 finishers. $10 to sign up.

Revenge Knockout Tournament

Revenge Group Knockout tournament on Sunday for players that did not make the final 8 or want more tournament opportunity to get IFPA WPPRs.

$10 to sign up, pay out top 8 finisher, trophy for winner.

Kid's Tournaments

3-Strike Knockout tournament played on a select bank of machines on the show floor.

Free to enter, trophy for winner.

Changes for 2024

This is a summary of key changes for 2024, as compared to 2023:
Format of the NW Women's Championship has changed.

However, due to the nature of pinball and the fact that the tournaments are entirely run by volunteers, the tournament officials reserve the right to modify the tournament structure or schedule until the start time of that tournament. Late or last minute changes will be announced as appropriate prior to the start of the tournament. Changes to the tournament structure will not be made mid-tournament unless circumstances make such a change absolutely necessary.

1Prizes listed on this website are planned assuming the tournament meets minimum attendance goals that match prior year as well as sponsorship level toward tournament prizes. Prizes listed may be decreased if total attendance is lower for any reason, including severe weather or natural disaster, power outages, technical issues, or covid-19 related changes that may force cancellation of rounds or reduction in total number of entries in each event.
